ISIS is happy to announce the First International Conference of 2013, whose main theme is "Ancient Indian Wisdom and the Modern World ". This conference will bring together scholars and experts, worldwide, to discuss and share their knowledge of ancient Indian science, medicine, technology, and culture, and their contribution and impact on the modern world.
Prominent speakers will include internationally known scholars Professor Ramanath Sharma, University of Hawaii, and Dr. Rajeev Malhotra, who will give keynote addresses; Dr. S. Letchoumanane and Dr. Vijay Gupta, who will speak on the applications of ancient Indian sciences to increase modern agricultural yields.
Other prominent scholars will discuss how the truths and reality of ancient Indian medicine, Ayurveda, yoga, cosmology, concepts of consciousness, and many other aspects are only recently being rediscovered by modern scientists, and how they can be applied or are otherwise relevant to modern society and to solve many of the problems it faces. In addition, several presentations will be made on the Vedas, the Upanishads, and Sanskrit, the language in which these ancient texts were written.
