US Government Agency Translations

Numerous US govenrment agencies, especially intelligence agencies, monitor and translate articles, periodicals, and books written in foreign languages. This may be part of their "open source" intelligence gathering or other specialized department translation tasks. These agencies may be very helpful, since they may have translated articles on technology, unexplained phenomena, and other subjects of interest that you are interested in that have been written in foreign languages. And you may be able to get such translated items via FOIA,as you did with Fedinando Cazzamalli's book, The Radiating Brain, that you got from MAIC/FTD.

TTD/QTBA/FU

1. Identify all US government agencies that currently do or have done translations;

2. ID the way each agency kelpt the records for theeir translations;

3. ID where copies of those translations currently are; eg poss in the agency library or some database;

4. ID that serial that was published, which I have seen at Sheridan called "Government Translations" or something like that;

5. ID all "Open Source" branches or offices of intelligence and other government agencies. eg, the USDA may have a translation division;

6. What is the office job title for translators, since you could find agencies that are advertising for translators, as well as existing personnel who are translators;
