Extraordinary Services and Technologies, Inc. (ESTI), was established in 2012 as a new, for-profit, corporation, independent of the World Institute for Scientific Exploration (WISE). This company is being lead by Richard Blasband, M.D., who is President, as well as, Philip Catalano, and others who will provide organization and engineering leadership. ESTI was established to provide a vehicle to market the various extraordinary products and services that are being developed through the research and development activities of WISE, a nonprofit organization, and includes various alternative science, alternative energy, and alternative and traditional medicine products and services.
In addition, however, ESTI was also established to provide a vehicle for other non-profit organizations, independent researchers, inventors, and others to market the extraordinary products and services that they may develop as well. And finally, ESTI was established to help provide entrepreneurial services, such as venture capital funding, business “angel” funding, and related services for those developing extraordinary products, services, and technologies that are based on scientific anomalies or phenomena that may not yet be fully explained by conventional science.
The leaders of the WISE realized early on, that many of the products, services, and technologies that WISE wanted to develop and provide to people, government agencies, and other organizations could most efficiently be marketed through a for-profit corporation. Moreover, since such activities would involve the sale of goods and services, this could not be done through WISE, since it is a tax exempt, nonprofit organization, and the same would be true for all other nonprofit organizations as well.
ESTI was established to overcome these barriers and enable the researchers working with WISE to do their research and develop useful products and service, and then have a smoother transition to market the products and services they had developed. But ESTI also decided that they would provide an opportunity to other nonprofit organizations and individuals who had been doing research and development outside of WISE to take make use of an established for-profit corporation to market any products and services that they had developed.
