Dissertations and theses are important sources of research and information and are most often produced by doctoral students. However, theses are frequently produced by Masters degree students, and even some Bachelor degree students.
There are several online databases of dissertations and theses, and many reference books listing bibliographic citations of dissertations and theses, especially published in the pre-Internet days.
WorldCat Dissertations and Theses: This is available at most college and university libraries, but is only an alphabetical, subject, title, and location database, and does not provide the actual dissertations to read or download.
Avaiable at: Hopkins, Sheridan Library: Click here;
ProQuest Dissertations and Theses: This is not only a database of bibliographic information, but provided PDF copies of actual dissertations and theses to read:

EThOS: Electronic Theses Online Service (thousands of British theses and dissertations; registration required; payment may be required for digitization of theses not yet in digital form)
Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (over 1 million free online theses and dissertations, and links to other major thesis sites; managed by Virginia Tech)
