Albert Batten (1906-2001) was a Canadian Spiritualist whose parents, Thomas and Gladys Batten, were also Spiritualists in Hamilton, Ontario.
The Albert Batten fonds consists of photos of East Hamilton Spiritualist Church members, a church death/burial register, biographical research conducted by Walter Meyer zu Erpen, and a CD containing digitized versions of some of the records. The records, including digital images, were created between 1930 and 2010.
The records were donated to the University of Manitoba Archives & Special Collections in 2011 by Albert Batten, Junior, with the Survival Research Institute of Canada acting as the transferring agent.
A more detailed description of the records is available on the University of Manitoba Archives & Special Collections website (see CA UMASC MSS 379, PC 329, EL 40 (A11-67)).
