Online Education is the wave of the fuuture. Theoretically, everyone in the world could receive a Harvard education, with Harvard Professors giving all lectures online, and updating them periodically, when new information becomes available. The lectures could be videotaped and made available online to anyone in the world. A transcription of the lecture would also be available, and there would no longer be any need need for students to furiously take notes, as millions of college students have had to do in the past. And there would be no need to rush and scurry to this or that lecture hall to get there in time as we had to do in the old days. What a waste of our time that was. You could read the transcript in a fraction of the time it took the prof to deliver it.
And there would be no need to even go to the university in many cases, saving parents billions of dollars on housing. Open source text books could be used and periodically updated with new information, instead of students spending billions on textbooks each year. It would also save the state and federal governments billions of dollars, which could be poured into research.
This is also applicable to K-12 grades. See K12.com for more information.
